That helps a lot. Thanks Richie!

If someone’s wondering, I spent time practicing reading a lot and and it was a slow process but now I feel more connected to the music being able to read notes and connect it with my instrument. I can say it’s worth it even if I can only read at a slow pace.

I practiced note identication 2 minutes each day and picked a random page on a real book and just try to play the melody to practice reading.

Thanks for the feedback Richie. Yeah, I’ve been trying to consciously remove that vibrato but sometimes the muscle memory just likes to kick in. I’ll make more effort to make them more relaxed.

I’ll spend maybe a month trying to learn the songs on the repertoire studies section then I’ll head to VOL2. Thanks again so much for this amazing course!

Thanks for the response Richie. Sorry it took a day to record. Work got to me yesterday. Here’s a clip of me improvising over it and playing the melody for Blues for Alice. Also, I’m sorry for the audio quality when I’m hitting the low strings. Anyway, excited for your feedback. Thanks in advance!

Now that you mentioned it, I started to notice it in my playing. Thanks for pointing it out! I tried to do it subtly but I think I’m not doing it right. Do you have any records you can recommend that I should listen to so I can study and mimic the way they do their vibratos?

Hello Richie! I spent the last month trying to get the progressions down and I feel that I’m getting comfortable with the progression using altered dominants. From time to time, I still get lost but I’ve recorded myself again. I’m still practicing daily with it but I’d love to hear your feedback on what I can do to improve more. Here’s the clip. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the feedback, Richie! Will do once I get these progressions down!

I tried out Module 8 and I stopped to focus on improving improvisation in the meantime since I thought that if I’m not able to convey my musical ideas in the first position, I might not be able to do so in another position.

Sure. I would definitely appreciate some feedback from you. I’m generally happy in a way that I know what I’m playing and what I want to play as compared to just noodling before I started this course. There are still hiccups here and there and definitely a lot to improve. It took a while to get uploaded but here you go.

When I save a few bucks, I might upgrade to platinum to get those one-on-one lessons!
