Hi All -I The heptatonic fingering chart shows the different patterns to use for 1-4-5 blues progression. My question is that this were provided to us so for pa blues 1-4-5 prgression we use Myxolydian patterns 1, 4 and 5. But for other progressions like 2-5-1 etc, how do we know what pattern combinations to use? Any hep will be appreciated. Thanks so much!
Hi Chris,
This is explained in the “Scale & Arpeggio Book” and the chart for 2-5-1-6 is provided on page 11. The patterns to use depend on the Fingering Model you apply to the 1 or tonic chord.
