Hi Randy,
You said this :”I needed to listen to the mp3 versions furnished in the download section in order to learn how to recognize certain rhythm patterns. After some time these became second nature.”
Are you referring to these Etudes? These are just backing tracks? Which Rhythm patterns are you speaking about?
For Etudes Opus 1- 10, 20
F Blues -120-3chorus.mp3
F Blues -85-2chorus.mp3Thx
KenThanks Richie, I’m really digging the site and telling others about it. I’ve joined several sites in the past, but they never took you from basic to advanced with a real pathway to get good like your method seems to do. Hopefully in the next 12 months I will finally start to sound like a Jazz guitarist!!!
Thanks again
kenWish you had a video of you showing how to actually play these swing notes
Your referring to these I guess
Rhythm Lab 1: Basic Rhythms in G-80bpm
Rhythm Lab 1: Basic Rhythms in G-115bpmThanks Richie
Great explanation Richie!!
KenAugust 25, 2015 at 10:29 pm in reply to: Possible Mistakes on PDF for How to memorize every major scale #2512Your welcome
So let me confirm then…For module 1 there aren’t any bebop Calisthenics to work on?
Kenthanks
So what i can gleam this is what module 1 consists of working on.
1) Mixolydian scales patterns 1,4,5
2) learning the Arpeggio for this patterns as well the scale degrees.
3) Guide tone resolution and understanding the 3rds and 7ths and how they resolve.
4) Playing the blues and guide tones to backing tracks.
5) Chord studies
6) Rhythm Lab
7) Ear training.
Not sure if I missed anything.
KenThanks Richie
Hey Frank,
So what are you working in the first module?
KenAugust 17, 2015 at 1:05 pm in reply to: So I can get a list of what I'm supposed to work on for Module 1 #2455I just saw you posted a new PDF for what I was asking…Thank you!!!
KenRichie,
I don’t see anything called Dashboard and can’t find the check list.
thx
kenHi Richie,
One more question…Can you write out a list of things we are actually working on for Module 1.
Because I’m still not exactly clear on what the main focus of module 1 is.
thx
