      Richie,

Is there some way to post something here without it stripping leading spaces from the text? It’s much harder to read my indented list when it strips off the spaces.

Let me try this again using the forums link feature. Maybe that’ll work better.

Well that didn’t work. The file upload limit isn’t big enough. Let’s try this. The files are shared so it should work.

            Richie,

I haven’t had any problem understanding the concepts. I find them very
useful when trying to understand how to do jazz improv. Though, it’s going to
take me a while to get really proficient in everything. Probably a very long
            while. 🙂

Luckily, I have some music theory in my background and my ability to read
music is decent. I also took guitar lessons from a jazz guy for a few years
(a long time ago). That probably helps me get though the material easier.

I’m not really set up to record myself here at home but maybe I can figure
something out. If I can, I’ll post it so you can hear it.

Who needs that pesky health insurance anyway. At least I still qualify for food stamps and government cheese! 🙂

                Richie,

It took me a while to respond. Busy with taxes and other stuff.

I took another look at this and figured it out. I was just misinterpreting what you were doing in the diagrams. So it is right. My bad.

Does proofreader come with any benefits? 🙂

I found a couple of other things.

                  – Lesson 5: Modal Super-Imposition
                  – Page 62, in the illustration right in the middle of the page.
It looks like the mappings for F major and G major are swapped. You have G for F and F for G.

                  – Page 63, the illustration near the top of the page (“Parallel Function of 2 Relative Modes”).
Under Super-Imposition:G7 Mixolydian: I can’t make any sense of the mappings here. If you’re
                  relating it back to the Bm7b5 Locrian, shouldn’t it be something like “b6 b7 1 b2 b3 4 b5” or
                  am I confused?

I don’t know how I missed that there was an errata section to the forum. I looked through them the other day when I was trying to figure out where to post the error report. Oh well, now I know.

                      Richie,

                      Thanks for the quick turnaround.

I can imagine that putting this stuff down on the page has got to be very error prone, so it’s not suprising that some errors crept in.

I need to go back to Calisthenics 9 and take a look at it again. I thought I ran into something that repeated more than once. It may have been my imagination, but I’ll go back and see if I can find it.

                      Thanks again.
