      Hey Richie,
I’m a week into module one. I generally have about an hour/day to practice, so what I have been doing is this:
      1. pattern 1,4,5 mixo scale and arpeggio starting from highest to lowest back to highest one time around the cycle.
      2. the I-IV and I-V exercises using intervallic script one time around the cycle
      3. the two 12 bar intervallic script exercises one time around the cycle.

That basically takes up my whole practice session for the day.

      Here’s my questions:
      1. is this a good routine to drill for 3 more weeks, or should I mix it up in some way?
      2. should I be trying to play the exercises from memory, or should I just let stick whatever sticks?
      3. I should probably try to fit in some work from the chord studies section. How would you prioritize? 50/50? One day chords one day module 1? Like I said in my other question, those chords aren’t foreign to me, but I’d like to be able to blow through the progressions around the cycle with ease.

      Thanks!!!

        Joe,

Sounds like a healthy practice routine for Module 1!

With the exercises involving interval script, don’t consciously try to memorize them although this will obviously happen after a few weeks. Initially you should be aware that you are actually playing the prescribed intervals and not following the arpeggio up or down by ear.

I would probably alternate days between the routine you described and the chords.
