We’re learning to improvise in the context / framework of a 12-bar blues. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of ’em. I have my favorites and you have yours. My question is: might there be an advantage in learning some of the same heads because they feature something that goes along with Richie’s teaching at this or that level? Just thinking out loud….

You obviously have too much time on your hands, Mark. Wait until Module 2 arrives and you won’t be making up your own assignments anymore… LOL 😉

Ha! James, you’re probably right. I’m plenty busy, but when I’m not playing, my mind tends to ponder things I might play….

Also, since we’re learning blues, it might be useful to have some heads in common, especially if they highlight some aspect or another (leading tones, chromaticism, what have you) of the lessons from various modules.
