I’ve been practicing the Module 1 arpeggio framework exercises 1 and 2. I’m worried that I’ve simply memorized the notes as opposed to really understanding how to move to the nearest 3rd or 7th as the exercise intends.

Any suggestions for how to mix these up so that I can’t rely on my memorization of the exercise? Or should I simply move on and trust that the later assignments will serve to solidify this knowledge?

Keep on going. You’re going to delve a lot deeper into all of this in the first 3 modules.
Also, it isn’t bad to memorize it. In a way, it all has to become “memorized” at some point. My suggestion is with all of this is to learn and understand the concept, go through the proper procedure for all the exercises, calisthenics and etudes, slowly at first, but as soon as possible take it “off the page” and into your memory (and ears and hands). By starting each practice session with a quick review of the frameworks or etudes over 4 to 6 weeks, it will become ingrained in your ears and hands, which is what you want.
