Hey Richie,
New student here; love module 1 so far. The chords in the chord study section aren’t new to me at all, but they are not quite as second nature as I would like. I was wondering if you would suggest I shift my thinking.
I tend to think of the lowest note of the chord when playing them. For instance, for a Bb chord I would see the Bb on the 6th string, then visualize the octave and 7th on the 4th string and play one of those inversions. Another example, on a D chord I would see the D on the 5th string, then visualize the 3rd and 5th on the 4th string and play one of those inversions.
My question is, is it worth reorganizing my thinking to always find the root of the chord while practicing these, or does it not matter so much how I get there as long as I get there? Thanks!
